WELCOME TO MDM 2014!!!
Registration is not yet open. Please continue to check back here and like us on FaceBook for news and updates
What is MDM?: A yearly internet based fundraiser for military charities. It’s based on a workout called “Murph” named after Medal of Honor recipient Michael Murphy. The idea is to honor ALL of our fallen military members with a challenging workout.
Who can participate?: Anyone! You don’t have to be a Navy SEAL (it just helps…) You don’t have to be able to do the entire workout to participate, just do what you can. You can split it up over days, or complete it with a team. If you are not comfortable with these exercises, you can create your own version. What’s your “MURPH”?
When?: It is meant to be done on Memorial Day, but since it is not held at one particular location, it can be done whenever. Many places are hosting events the week before or on Memorial Day weekend.
Where?: Wherever you live. Many CrossFit affiliates and gyms are hosting events, but it can be done anywhere you can run, do pull-ups, push-ups and squats.
Why?: To honor ALL fallen military members with our pain and sweat, (some tears and blood too I’m sure), and to raise money for great charities supporting military causes.
How much?: Registration is $35, and includes an awesome event shirt made by FORGED clothing.
Where does the money go?: All profits go to the charities listed. We have ZERO paid staff and minimal overhead. It is our goal to maximize your donation.
Update on Memorial Day Murph 2013.
THANK YOU ALL! MDM 13 was our biggest year ever. We had over 10,000 participants world wide and donated over $150,000 to three grateful charities. The Michael Murphy Scholarship fund, The Lone Survivor Foundation and That Others May Live foundation.
Please note, any communication from Memorialdaymurph.com is not affiliated with MDM or the Murphy family.
Thank you for your continued support
